This was one of my favorite projects in my new home remodel. I always loved a jewel box powder room and I think it came out FANTASTIC. Easy installation but I had to use a hardcore primary to get a smooth finish. Don't like the smell it leaves behind for a few days but if you want a smooth finish you need it. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
