I was very detailed about measurements and measured my windows from the outside as this makes a difference with ledges and making sure the shilutters are not too short or long. Urethane faux wood shutters stay true to authentic wood by not only having a wood grain, but also by having the ability to be either gel-stained or painted. Longevity of this faux wood material is priceless, without sacrificing the real wood appearance of the shutters.

Purchased the Riverwood style. Painted them but have not installed yet. They arrived primed, but primer is tacky…sticky. I have had to put 2 heavy coats of paint on them. Still painting…waiting for paint coats to dry and not be sticky either. Only concern is the shutters are not as sturdy as I expected (why the 4 stars) and hoping during installation they will not be damaged. These are pretty. A little strange the base color (blue) was speckled looking. The shipping was less than desirable. They did not arrive in time to be painted by my painters. The ETA changed a lot.
