This is an excellent door. It is solid. I did have to have it professionally installed since my house is a bit crooked. As you can seen in the pic where the door looks like unfinished wood on the side with the hinges, that's where the installer had to trim down the door to make it fit in the wonky space. As you can see, that's wood. Nice solid wood. The door is a very nice addition to my house. It looks modern while still maintaining a vintage feel. I will purchase a second door 100% for sure for my other room. I wanted to make sure this one was quality and it definately is. Love this door! Bought it as a replacement for a mirrored linen closet door. It brightened the bathroom and gave it a modern feel. Easy to install too. The only negative is the way the glass film was applied UNDER the wood frame surrounding the panes. We had to use an exacto knife to carefully cut the film along the wood edge to remove it. Update 121625 - Ok, Doors have been installed now my husband will put holes in for the doors for the handle hardware and wait for our warmer weather to paint doors (black). He will paint the trim and doors black. But these doors provide such a much more expensive and quality look. The contrast between the original doors and these 5 panel doors are night and day and the soundproofing is sooo much better. We have a open concept home and to have the solid core makes such a difference. So much so we were going to leave one of our doors that is not seen in the main area original but he had me order another one today. I will say these doors were prices extremely well over the big box stores or any competitor. I can not express how much these doors have increased not only the value of our home but the beauty. Original 111425 My husband has been disappointed with the current doors we have in home (hollow core and plain). Our home is an open plan and the doors being as they are you hear everything and this was his biggest complaint outside of the fact that they were plain and ugly. He saw these and had me order three of them immediately. First assessment, well packaged and secured. The doors are very heavy and sturdy. The style is just what I was looking for with the five panels. We are waiting on the installer and I will update pictures once complete. We are very pleased with this purchase, well worth it.. First, these doors are nice and solid. A little on the heavy side, so I am glad I wasnt installing these on my own. They are primed to a gloss so have to be sanded before painting, which is a little annoying, but it is what it is. They are not pre-hung, so you will not get any frame panels with them and as a result, the hinges dont sit recessed. When I read no hardware, I understood no hinges, handles, etc. which I was fine with as I had my own, but no frames would have been an issue if I didnt have the ones from the doors that didnt show up from the previous order that was cancelled (different vendor). They were delivered super quick which I appreciated and packed well. They did have some cosmetic issues that were from the factory (not FedEx), but not enough for me to go through the hassle to send them back. It was like each door had at least one nick in it! Quality is pretty low, but so is the price. It LOOKS good, but the finish is razor thin sticker material. And the MDF is not that durable. Doors are SOLID and heavy. Very happy with quality for the price. A couple of corners were damaged during shipping. Mostly a cosmetic issue. But both Wayfair and the manufacture worked with us to find a solution. Overall very pleased. We specifically liked that these are already painted, so it was one less thing we needed to worry about right now. We didn’t do “slow close” doors, and I think that the weight of the doors will prevent us from ever needing that. We still need to have them framed out, and hardware installed.. Danielle. Denver, CO.
