I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. The only negative I've encountered so far is that even using conduction, I find some pretty noticeable hot spots (or cold ones) when I roast something (I see this when I do cauliflower, for instance, and a part is getting to the nice roasty stage and the rest is still white and not quite there).. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having cooked on this new cooktop for 6 weeks, I can happily report that I am enjoying it more than I did my Dacor (on which I experienced a scary igniter failure). Some of expressed concern about the arrangement of the burners and their BTU levels, but that is magic in my view. There is so much customization available that it takes a bit of time to readjust what to cook where -- but that's part of the fun in my opinion. The "stops" that exist between levels of flame, as well as the numbers assigned to each, make it easy to remember what number flame to use next time for that purpose. The only worry I have is scratches because the installer caused one near that simmer burner while setting the cap on and of course now that is there forever, sadly. I had to wait for this model to return to inventory, but the wait was worth it. Highly recommend this Bosch Benchmark model for its beauty, sure, but also for its performance and ease of use!. The other thing is the indicator bell when the oven reaches temperature is faint and it's not as obvious to read when the temperature is reached. But otherwise I love everything about it! Unit is defective from manufacturer. Contractor installed and the hood will not raise up. I know electrical controls pretty well and after doing some troubleshooting the button to raise the hood gets no power from the board and the fuse is in good condition. Hope it gets fixed quickly.. So far, we've had this unit for over a month and works great. Love the ease of lighting the burners, the configuration of the burners and the power settings from each one. Our new range was just delivered and installed. The burners will not auto ignite. We have been without a range that has a working oven for several months so the new unit is a welcome pleasure. Looks beautiful!! Love it!! Even on the quiet mode it is somewhat louder than expected. It really moves the smoke and smells out of the house though!! The noise from the fan doesn’t bother me as much as it may some others but for the price I did expect it to be more quiet but it has 2 powerful fans!!
