We opted not to tie up each section and just put each section upside down to store it. It is all that needed to be done to store it. My artificial tree was so dusty from years of use but now I just have to swiffer wand dust everything as is before disassembling. I saw my ornaments, that I have been putting up for years, in a whole new way. The tree really showcased them. I decided not to put lights on this year but because my ornaments sparkled and because the tree is metal, and because the surrounding lighting was on, I didn't really feel the need for it. I love this tree! I was able to put it up myself…but definitely recommend having assistance to put up the top piece. It took me a couple of hours to fluff it because I am short, so I needed to use a step ladder to get to the top. Putting the lights on was also a challenge. I think this was about 3 strands of lights. I started at the top and worked around. I love that you can see the ornaments inside the tree.
