5-Piece Ranch Style Dining Set With Oak Top Table & Ladder Back Chairs

The issue is the table arrived damaged, 2 chairs were damaged and one chair back had 2 legs not even the same height so it wobbles. When I contacted customer to send replacement parts I was told the would send a whole new table and chairs if I packaged up the damaged one and sent it back. I explained that the box has been recycled and there is no box big enough to pack it back up. Secondly, the whole weighed about 150lbs. There was no way I would be able to lift that to take it somewhere to be shipped back. So, it makes sense to me that I now am able to use 2 out of 4 chairs and the table has some damage a 50% refund should have been offered...I mean I can only use 50% of the set. Nope they only offered 30% refund. The table is cheap and looks cheap. I will say I am disappointed because when I read rubber wood, I assumed it was the whole set. The table is made of particleboard with a laminated finish. Unfortunately, only the chairs are solid wood. Description says rubber wood. I gave 3 stars and not less because the chairs I do like and am not totally dissatisfied with. When assembling the chairs, I did experience some cracking in the wood when tightening with the Allen wrenchkey. I am a small,petite woman, so I was not over tightening like I’ve seen some men do. Assembly was simple for the table. I was able to do alone. Assembly for the chair was a bit challenging to do alone as I could not hold the chair-back into place and place the screws. It is a nice-sized table for our little breakfast nook area. The cushions on the seats are pretty firm, at least when new. Okay so it is absolutely gorgeous. But it is a picture of the wood color on top of basically really heavy plywood. The seats and bench and legs of the table are solid wood very sturdy. The bench is screw on legs where the chairs you had to do a few more steps. Which were easy. You do need a power tool to put the chairs together. The packages mg could have been better but I was lucky that it didn’t get damaged even though some of the boxes came shredded. I knew it was going to take a few weeks to ship and it actually came a few days earlier than expected. It comes in 5 boxes so if you think you’re missing something make sure you have all the boxes first. Really happy with the purchase. Wish it was true solid wood but the plywood or type of wood is really heavy and solid with the printed wood finish is done really well so I’m still happy with my purchase. Hope this helps.. Julie.
