Beautiful bookshelves! I got 2 and put them flush together (the top part is detachable). Each bookcase came in 3 packages and about 88 lbs each. I added assembly and the service was great, as the guy carried the packages upstairs and did it faster than I could do it myself without going crazy. The only note is that the drawers take some time to align, as it had to snap into a hook on the back and onto the rail. The LED lights can sync to 1 remote. This is a 'big boy' entertainment center. Each of the 4 boxes arrived on different adjacent days, and are individually quite heavy. From 80 to 100lbs each. Packaging was so much better than I've ever experienced. The corners, where most damage happens, had solid rubber inserts. I had not one single piece damaged from corner drops. The flat sides, although slightly scuffed, arrived in great shape. I opted to have this built with one of Wayfair's assembly team. It took one guy, just less than 7 hours to put it together, place it in my desired location, and tidy everything up. Of course, the trash is mine to deal with, but my basement living room was returned to it's pre-assembly condition. Lots of wood screws (this is a good thing) rather than those 'post and spin' nuts. The LED lights work just fine without the need to download yet another app. Unit comes with 2 remotes, one for left 'dual' window side, and one for the right 'single' window side. One remote will work both sides. So, hide one from the little ones to keep as a backup. Is it for you? It's big! Tons of room, plenty of storage on the bookshelves and in the glass cabinets. Drawers are sturdy and have ample room for those 'out of sight' items. All in all, I would totally buy this again. luv the versatility of this unit and the ability to add more sections down the road. also love the simple but elegant design, my only dislike was the fact that brown is no longer available, also the instructions indicate that you would need to screw the top shelving unit into the basedrawers. I dislike, putting wood screw holes in the base. They should of designed it where instead of using wood screws, you could use machine screws to take it apart without damaging the wood.. William. Redid my whole closet. This was a great buy it makes my closet feel so much more premium now. Wasn’t too hard to set up. Took about 1-2 hrs per shelf installment. Delivery came pretty fast as well. We had one piece that wasnt threaded on both ends like it shouldve been. We called the Customer Service number, but the person we finally talked to ended up asking us about our home security system. These closet systems are a great color. Assembly was VERY time consuming. We ended up hiring a contractor to assemble and install them. The assembly time indicated was grossly underestimated. The curtain rods that are inside of the main portion of the system doesn’t have enough room to hang a simple shirt. They should have been mounted above the shelf and the shelf should have been removed all together. It is definitely more cheaply made that previous systems we have had. It serves its purpose and looks nice but is definitely a little more in the “cheap” side.. Ann. OH. Fri Apr 17 2026
