This is my third Dyson Animal. I keep one upstairs that is 10 years old and this new stand one I am keeping downstairs. I am very satisfied with Dyson vacuums. The suction power is excellent. I like the adjustable carpet level and a longer court, which my older Dyson does not have. It is a heavier, vacuum and many others on the market, but I have found that the lighter vacuums do not have the suction power that the Dyson does, so the weight of the vacuum is of no significant consequence to me. I received my Dyson Air Purifier/ Humidifier as a tenure gift from my employer. I’ve had it about 7 weeks and very happy with my selection. I use it in my small 10x10 bedroom and it makes the room significantly cooler and the air fresher. It is very quiet and does not bother my sleeping at all. I did have some concerns with the humidifier not working, but after a little online research I didn’t have the humidity setting high enough. I use it on the Medium and Boost suction levels and it SUCTIONS everything in its path. The vacuum picks up food crumbs on the rug, dust by the door and tile floor, my hair that is constantly shedding, and dog hair from both of my extra fluffy, long-haired dachshunds. On Medium mode, I got close to the advertised 60 minutes. On Boost Mode, it still lasted long enough to do my living room, hallway, and 2 bedrooms, which is A LOT. The dust cup fits a lot of debris and garbage- it’s so fulfilling watching it fill up. So relieved the vacuum is light enough to carry upstairs and bring back down. This vacuum is perfect for my little place. It’s just a smaller version than the larger one that my daughter has. But the suction on this vacuum is outstanding! I read some of the other reviews who said it didn’t have much suction power but this one sucked up a lot of dog hair. I haven’t had a vacuum in a week and I have a golden retriever. You can see in the photo how much hair it sucked off my rug on the the floor and from the couch! I love this little vacuum!! it also has a really long cord, which is great. I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in somewhere else. It has several attachments that are helpful too. I also read where someone said when they vacuumed dust came out from the back. I didn’t have that problem at all and I’ve only got the one rug in my living room, which is a small space rug and then I have the hardwood floors, there was no dust coming out of this vacuum cleaner. New UI in App and it’s better than the other interface - I believe all mobile app should update. The Airflow, Heating/Cooling, etc. is better. The reason for the 4 not 5 star is the remote!! Dyson have removed the button for how long before turns off, so only controllable via app!! A backwards step. I also think it’s annoying that all remotes don’t universally across all devices!!.
