This is my third Dyson Animal. I keep one upstairs that is 10 years old and this new stand one I am keeping downstairs. I am very satisfied with Dyson vacuums. The suction power is excellent. I like the adjustable carpet level and a longer court, which my older Dyson does not have. It is a heavier, vacuum and many others on the market, but I have found that the lighter vacuums do not have the suction power that the Dyson does, so the weight of the vacuum is of no significant consequence to me. Love that the detect light is now standard on the vacuum head, it is so helpful to see all the dog hair. The submarine head is so unique, I have never used a vacuum feature like it. I do think it would be perfect for anyone that does an every day wet mop, because it works best on lightly soiled areas. I use it on the Medium and Boost suction levels and it SUCTIONS everything in its path. The vacuum picks up food crumbs on the rug, dust by the door and tile floor, my hair that is constantly shedding, and dog hair from both of my extra fluffy, long-haired dachshunds. On Medium mode, I got close to the advertised 60 minutes. On Boost Mode, it still lasted long enough to do my living room, hallway, and 2 bedrooms, which is A LOT. The dust cup fits a lot of debris and garbage- it’s so fulfilling watching it fill up. So relieved the vacuum is light enough to carry upstairs and bring back down. I love this thing! Easy to use and works so well!! I’ve already cleaned multiple rugs and our bedroom carpet and it looks so much better! It dries really quick on the quick clean mode. But the deep clean definitely does a better job. It’s light weight and easy to set up and take apart for cleaning. The solution it comes with are tiny bottles so make sure you purchase extra to use!. This vacuum is perfect for my little place. It’s just a smaller version than the larger one that my daughter has. But the suction on this vacuum is outstanding! I read some of the other reviews who said it didn’t have much suction power but this one sucked up a lot of dog hair. I haven’t had a vacuum in a week and I have a golden retriever. You can see in the photo how much hair it sucked off my rug on the the floor and from the couch! I love this little vacuum!! it also has a really long cord, which is great. I don’t have to keep unplugging and plugging in somewhere else. It has several attachments that are helpful too. I also read where someone said when they vacuumed dust came out from the back. I didn’t have that problem at all and I’ve only got the one rug in my living room, which is a small space rug and then I have the hardwood floors, there was no dust coming out of this vacuum cleaner.
