I should have looked more thoroughly at the specs before purchasing. The adjustable pole is not long. It limits the kind of chair you can use. If you have a beautician style chair with a solid base, you won’t be able to roll the wheels under. You need a chair that has legs or wheels that allow a gap big enough for the base of the dryer to fit under. This is my third Dyson Animal. I keep one upstairs that is 10 years old and this new stand one I am keeping downstairs. I am very satisfied with Dyson vacuums. The suction power is excellent. I like the adjustable carpet level and a longer court, which my older Dyson does not have. It is a heavier, vacuum and many others on the market, but I have found that the lighter vacuums do not have the suction power that the Dyson does, so the weight of the vacuum is of no significant consequence to me. Connected to wi-fi - just haven't used that yet. Two small issues - (1) our lint sensor is crazy sensitive. Just had the ducts cleaned yet it constantly gives us a warning that our ducts are almost blocked. (2) the vent in the back started rusting within 3 months!!! I am a massive dyson vacuum fan, I have had a few over the years and they just keep getting better and better. The suction on the v16 is the best I have experienced so far. Love that the detect light is now standard on the vacuum head, it is so helpful to see all the dog hair. The submarine head is so unique, I have never used a vacuum feature like it. I do think it would be perfect for anyone that does an every day wet mop, because it works best on lightly soiled areas.
