I received the square lift top coffee table which took a couple of hours to assemble. The lift top works very smoothly, is well made, and sturdy. The lift mechanism is a little stiff at first, but it does loosen up with use. I lift it up and down several times a day and it’s already improving. My only two minor drawbacks are that I wish it were a little taller and slightly bigger. Not dramatically, just a bit more presence. That said, it works for my space and I still love it. This coffee table was one of, if not the, easiest pieces of furniture I’ve ever put together. It consisted of three pieces and six screws. However, I took off one star because of the packaging. I spent a lot of time searching and I’m so glad I purchased this one. It’s heavy and durable feeling, and seems much more expensive than it was. The gray linen is a great color and it holds a lot (we have an air mattress and 6 throw blankets in it). It arrived quickly. The only slight negative is there aren’t pre drilled holes showing where the legs go, so it took a bit more time and effort to get them on than we anticipated.
