This is a great undermount steel sink. Size is pleasant for being only 22 inches, and deep, in order to accommodate items without splashing. There is some kind of sound deadening foam panels adhered to all sides, and the whole of the underneath of the basin has been coated with some kind of sprayed on dampening to help prevent echoing and clattering. Really nice in our kitchen. We replaced an old cast iron sink with this one and it instantly updated my kitchen. Only problem is there is a metal rail all around the bottom rim of the sink that you put the clips on to hold it into place. The plumber had to cut my counter top so the sink would fit.. Carol.
