I believe it happened when we were trying to stand the Pergola. I did order some corner braces as well to keep everything from swaying. One tip I would give is make sure you check fitment with your lumber before you assemble. I had to sand all of my pressure treated posts and check fit. this item was purchased for a new install. Meaning there was no other disposal it was replacing. It was super easy and is so amazingly quiet, which is awesome due to the open style floor plan. It will never drown out anyone's TV program! It's slim so it will fit in even the smallest space! I really couldn't beat the price of this item on wayfarer either! pretty much half the price of the next lowest retailer! I also bought the air button to go with it!
