This was an ‘Open Box’ item. The plates are beautiful. The reason for 1 star is that the person who packed and shipped this open box item of 5 plates did not use the correct packing material for the plates. 4 of the 5 were shattered, and Perigold did allow me to return. I’m just very disappointed that someone didn’t do their job. This is why prices go up because lazy employees cost companies money… then it gets passed down to the consumer. I got this 6 pack of dinner plates so that I could check out the colors, design and just get a feel for the quality, BEFORE I commit to purchasing the set. I am happy to report that they are gorgeous!! They have a nice weight, colors are vibrant and shiny. The swirled design really looks nice. My plan is to use these plates as part of a mix/match with another set, also from Vancassa - which is the Bohemian pattern! I plan to get a few salad plates & cereal bowls from the Bonita, as well.
