My original complaint: I ordered two sets of two chairs for a total of 4 chairs. Just the 4 upper chairs without legs or hardware were in the two boxes. they are useless as delivered! Upon complaining to Wayfair, the rep sent my complaint back to the factory. It turns out that the legs and hardware and an Allen key for each chair were concealed in a zippered compartment under the seat. This took a long time; Wayfair should've known the solution to the problem when I first contacted customer service. These are beautiful chairs and look a lot higher quality compared to the price point. I'll definitely agree with other reviewers that these are NOT easy to install if you use only the provided hex wrench - I'm a pretty handy person but the way the screws have to go into the chair you can only move the wrench about 1/4" at a time...it took me like 40 minutes to try to just get a couple of them in one chair until my boyfriend said "how about use the impact driver". Yes - to properly and efficiently assemble these you will need 1) a rubber mallet to tap the dowels into the seat boards 2) a drill 3) a 6" extender drill bit 4) a bit that will work as the hex wrench (e.g. star shape) and a Phillips bit for the other set of screws that go into the seat. Doing this with only the hex wrench will take you HOURS; using these tools will be 10 minutes per chair. The seat bottom also does not have pre-drilled holes - which at first was a bit like "ok, are these gonna go in the right spot..." but if you make sure the seat is all the way pushed back against the frame (chair will be upside down on a table at this stage) and then drop the screws into the pre drilled holes and again use the extender with the Phillips bit on the drill it'll work great.. The chair is ok, it looks good for sure, however, I am concerned about the stability of the back since the predrilled holes did not align where the chair back needs to connect to the seat. It feels unstable and that is concerning to me. My hands hurt from trying to find a way to force the holes to align so the screw and bolt could be tight but it just was not working.
