They chairs are light weight and stack easily, but they are very sturdily constructed. The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. I also bought the 47" dining table (in Vintage Tekwood) to go with these chairs. The set was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but arrived on Friday. I am a very happy customer. They were easy to assemble, but it would be much easier with a helper…I assembled them by myself. Some of the pieces have to be held awkwardly when inserting the screws and bolts. My only issue was one of the “bolts and screws” packages tore open prior to opening the box, and those items fell everywhere. I luckily found each one, which was a big deal since there were no extras. (Suggestion to the manufacturer) Quality seems to be as good as the ones I’d purchased from another manufacturer for a much higher price. I bought 4 to complete the area around our firepit.. Renee.
