This is a great little dehumidifier. We got it for our basement because our old one was getting old and starting to have problems. This one is smaller and a lot quieter. The hose in the back is small. Our old one had a bigger hose and would still get clogged up so I'm concerned about that, but so far it hasn't been a problem. Overall, I'm glad we got it.. Michelle. This dehumidifier works so well it actually made our smart thermostat send alert that humidity had dropped below normal. I bought this because it was small and made of metal, not plastic. I discovered that the base is actually plastic, but is covered by the 'crumb tray'. This is my 2nd dehydrator exactly like this..I love my current one and needed to replace one of my old basis dehydrators before the dehydration season was over. Tip: if you dehyrate alot of medicinal herbs- like I do. Cut out window screen and place on each tray. Do not cut out the center.
