Very nice piece that solved a hand towel placement quandary, allowing me to place hardware in a thin strip of available wall space. Lovely in chrome. It's also heavier duty than what you can find in standard stores. I've attached some pictures. The style is sleek and modern and constructed entirely of metal. The hardware included is also all metal, except, of course the plastic hollow wall anchors. I'm attaching to drywall so I won't use the included plastic anchors because they are really only designed for light duty use. I can't stand a loose towel bar...especially since fixing it involves removing it, filling the original holes in the wall and repairing and camouflaging the drywall texture, painting your work with a sealer such as Zinsser and then later with the current wall paint. And then, after all that, you'll need to remount the bar in a place far enough away from your original repaired holes to maintain integrity. We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. The shower and all its components is gorgeous and feels wonderful, but these tech issues are enough to drive you crazy, especially 18 months after install.. Cajunmeggle. Tennessee. Wed Feb 26 2025
