The Design House Passage Knob does not lock and is used in bedrooms, hallways and other rooms where privacy is not important. Features two, non-locking knobs, one on each side of the door. Designed for left or right hand doors, this knob fits the two most common backsets in the U.S. (2-3/4-inch and 2-3/8-inch). Use this knob on standard 1-3/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch thick doors with a cross bore 2-1/8 in dia or edge bore 1-1/16 in dia. (1 in. x 2-1/4 in. radius corner faceplate). The Passage Knob is ideal for install on closet, hallway and bedroom doors and not intended for locking purposes. This cedar shed is perfect as an additional bunk house/office for our vacation/remote work location. My contractor, who assembled it had a few issues as the directions are pretty basic. So pay attention to part numbers as the illustrated plans indicate what goes where. It arrives on two pallets with wall panels that already have the siding attached and roof panels already shingled. He bought pressure treated 2x4s and better plywood for the base/floor since the cabin didn't come with all the pieces of flooring needed (super annoying) and making 6 or 8 joist boxes is kinda silly but due to fitting everything on pallets, that's necessary from a manufacturing standpoint. So we improvised. In these photos, we had painted the floor already, preparing for laying the final flooring. We will be insulating and adding a nice whitewashed paneling for the interior walls. We may run an extension cord out there or actually run power properly. Not sure yet. My contractor billed me 30 hours for assembly and he worked alone. Great shed! I just put it together over the weekend and I have not installed the door yet. My first impression was the wood was brittle and prone to cracking. The directions aren’t great and some pieces didn’t match what was in the directions so we had to get creative. Once we put the supports in, it feels very sturdy- and it’s very warm. Absolutely adorable bird house. We call it "The White House." We mounted it to a tree just outside of our sunroom, great room and dining room side of the house. And we also hung a bird feeder below it, so excited to see what bird type takes occupancy in their new birdie white house! Tip: Get the bird seed called "Squirrel Away" from Chewy (see pic); otherwise, the squirrels will eat all of the bird seed within a day or two. Love this bird house!!! Detail and quality is amazing! Highly recommended, and arrived in perfect shape. Tip: Before mounting the bird house, I would highly recommend to spray 2-3 coats of poly urethane over the entire house, to protect from the seasonal elements. Happy bird watching!. Debra. CA.
