I did not purchase this to use as a desk. I needed a corner vanity and did not want to spend a lot of money. This was perfect for the budget and worked out great! The directions were very straightforward and easy to follow with the exception of the final step of placing the top shelving to the bottom base. The two sections in the corner as I show in the picture want to separate. This requires two people. I assembled this by myself and it took several hours. It is a great piece of furniture for a gaming desk or to use as a vanity. The light strip is a straight continuous wire and does not have an L shape to allow for the corner and sticks out. I love this thing!!!! It has 3 USB ports that are a little selective as to what they will power but I figured it out to my liking and they do all work one reviewer said hers do not work but if u play around with it and try different things and different chargers such as not all phone chargers they do work, such as I charge my keyboard and mouse and another item I have.
