There is no damage to the leaves or stems. The soil is a good quality and I don’t foresee a need to transplant it anytime soon. My only problem is the plastic that was used to keep the soil intact during shipment covers the drainage hole which can lead to overwatering. I had to remove the soil from the plant from the plastic and repot it. Otherwise, I anticipate a thriving plant to enjoy for years to come with proper care according to the instructions provided.. These plants were shipped during very cold New England weather. 4 of 5 looked like I purchased them off the shelf in a local store. Very well packed. One did sustain some damage to the larger leaves, but plenty of smaller leaves that were unaffected, and I’m particularly adept at rescuing plants, so I’m expecting it to make a full recovery. This pencil cactus arrived very stressed out with a lot of weird yellow growth and Sapir dehydrated it is alive, but I’m going to have to repot it immediately and the potting soil is like cement so yes I got a life planned, but it’s going to have to go into hospice for a while.
