This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old. Very quiet compared to most brands I’ve had. I do think it could be a littler cooler on max but it will eventually cooldown the room and maintain good temp after. Product is what we needed as the kitchenette required a smaller microwave. Product arrived damaged but nothing would have indicated damage looking at packaging. The damaged parts (dents on both sides) were easily concealed when installed but that was also a bit of a hassle. My husband is an electrician & has hung quite a few microwaves, yet he wasn't a fan of the install. We tested after install, it works & no issues with the unit at the moment (not being used as we aren't moved in at the moment). We did contact Wayfair about issues, they contacted Danby on my behalf & Danby contacted me the next day. I love this tower! Moved laundry to the first floor from the basement in a 100yo home. They nicely fit into a closet and are quiet and very efficient. Only 2 tbs of detergent needed, if you use too much you’ll get a notification for the app. Oh that’s great too, the app also alerts you when the washer and dryer are done or if there are any problems. Make sure they are properly installed, the dryer needs to have drainage. The guy who installed mine hadn’t installed an electric heat pump dryer yet and didn’t realize which led to a build up of water in the washer pan and the clothes would be damp. This dryer is awesome. It seems like it takes longer than a normal dryer, but it really doesn't. We don't have to run it 3 times to dry towels. It can fit a lot of towels. It can dry our king size comforter with ease. It uses about 1/4 the power of our old normal dryer. It also is really good at removing pet hair from clothes. Central air broke we purchased this unit to use short term , a month later still not fixed . This LG unit cools the whole downstairs. Quick easy setup . I've had this unit for a year now and can attest to its reliability and performance. My condo has a small laundry closet and this is the only front-loading LG model that would fit. It is quiet and most of my laundry comes out clean and ready for the dryer. I find that the dryer actually works comparably to a vented dryer and it is easier on my clothes. My condo association discourages ventless dryers because of its prior experiences with water damage from leaks into other units which are not as much of an issue with the newer ventless technology. I love that I don't have to worry about pulling the unit out of the closet to periodically clean the dryer vent. My only issue is that sometimes laundry will come out with dry streaks indicating that the wash cycle was somehow not fully soaked the garments, even when stacked in the drum according to the manual.
