They were what I needed. Pretty easy to setup. Shipping put a ding in one that made the enter door fall off the rod but found the clip for the rod in the box and a little work with a pair of plyers on the door it was as good as the other ones. I added one screw to th side panel that holds the front panel door open where they could get use to eating out of it before letting the door close and requiring them to push it open to eat.. Tyrone. I am happy with this unit even though it was a little bit tricky to put together. Alignment was good but the instructions leave much to be interpreted. It somehow feels much smaller than what I expected based on photos but the dimensions don't lie. It is sufficient space for all the food and extras. I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. I’m super excited to have this compost bin. Assembly was straightforward and everything snapped together perfectly. I like the open bottom so that earthworms will have easy access to the compost. The lid has a decent little latch and the sliding door for accessing compost is a great feature Simply slide the door up and off for shoveling out finished compost.
