At first I didn’t think it heated up “enough” but oh my after a bit it was very toasty! It is a smooth gray velvety texture on one side and the other is a nubby white color. It’s actually warm even without the heat. Size-wise, I have a queen bed and got the queen size. Sometimes you can get a brand that seems undersized but not this one.
