I am very happy with this fixture. It is large but still works well in rooms with lower ceiling height (9' shown). It is heavy and well made. It also lets off a good amount of light. The light ivory shade is also perfect and the top crystal ball tightens down nicely so the shade doesn’t spin around. Another lamp on the Perigold/Wayfair site by Robert Abbey looks very similar and the same price as this one, however, in reading the reviews for the other lamp, the top crystal piece that holds the shade in place doesn’t screw down tightly and just spins around; thus making the shade also move. This lamp has a 3-way switch, so it looks gorgeous with the dimmest setting, but brightness can be increased with just a turn of the switch.
