Durham sets a wheel alight, softened by a wide drum shade of off-white linen. Set in a streamlined style that doesn’t evoke any specific age, Durham works especially well in transitional and neutral spaces. PLEASE NOTE that the body and shade of 6539 is oval; 6530 and 6542 are circular.

I am very happy with this fixture. It is large but still works well in rooms with lower ceiling height (9' shown). It is heavy and well made. It also lets off a good amount of light. I wanted to love this dresser. In fact, I love the look of it. It was on back order so that may have made my anticipation more. The wood detail on the drawers is very eye catching. It is a little bigger depth wise for my room than I had thought of but we made it work. The only thing I do not like about this dresser is the drawer situation. They are deep drawers, but do not pull out all the way. The soft close has a lot to be desired as well. Durham’s classic architecture dates to the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and remains an enduring part of its rich history and distinct culture. Durham became the hub of North Carolinas tobacco trade after the Civil War ended, bringing significant prosperity to the Raleigh-Durham-Cary triangle. By 1891 a thriving textile industry further spurred economic prosperity and attracted residents from across the South who built communities based around cultural lines. The prominence of the railroad in this map illustrates the significance the line had to the city and region’s local economy. Goods were able to flow from the more agrarian Western portions of North Carolina to major markets in the Northeast and Europe.
