I could not commit to a standing desk... most were very tacky and just not what I wanted in my house. I figured if I didn't want to have the standing configuration anymore and I didn't utilize it as much as I thought, I could get rid of the converter and keep my regular desk. The converted is EXTREMELY heavy right out of the box. it is very cumbersome but it needs to be to hold up monitors and support your workstation. Some have complained about how difficult it is to adjust the monitor arms... you don't want them to be too easy to adjust or they will be moving all the time unnecessarily. To me, it is perfect. My only issue is that the way mine is set up is that my laptop hides the controls to move it up and down, I need to get another extension to hold up my laptop ( I use the camera on my laptop and the extra screen) and be able to use the desktop space for my keyboard and see the controls. The up and down buttons are easy to see if you look right at them. It does slightly hang off my desk but I knew that would happen before I bought it. I installed it by myself (female), my only complaint is: some of the pre-screwed part will need unscrewing to make the arm adjustable, but they screwed it sooo tight that I couldn't unscrew it. This frees up desk space and has a tidier appearance than the desk mount I was using. Easy to install and I especially like the way the monitors attach to the mount.
