The worst part is the roof pieces have a film that has to be removed and that took up the most of our time. It was brutal . Maybe 4 hours to remove . The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. Better than expected. Seems to be well made. I hired a construction guy/friend to assemble it. He brought two employees, and it took a day and a half to assemble. I have only had it up for a month, and it hasn't been through any harsh weather. I will report if it becomes an issue. It looks great, and all of our Wayfair furniture fits under it and around our gas firepit. Nice addition. It is a good value. Yes, it is expensive, but the quality is good. We love our new patio gazebo. Instructions were complete. It was really easy to put together. It took three of us two days. Just purchased a lake front lot wanted a gazebo for entertaining. Looked at lots of options and settled on this one because it fit in with the nature of the lot and the cedar framing was such a nice feature. We really love the size and style of the solarium. It is very sturdy and we have had no issues with opening and closing the doors. I will say that the inside top flaps do not run flush and insects are able to get in. I think with some manipulating you might be able to better secure them but I have not yet tried. I never write anything. BUT, I have to on this one.... I purchase many items that need to be put together and (this is my second gazebo purchase) I must say this Purpleleaf Gazebo exceeded all my expectations. Everything was lettered and numbered. The directions were easy to read. Screws and hardware were labeled. Honestly, I don't think i have had so much success in putting together a large project like this before. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Steps 1 you can do with one person. Step 2 you need 2 people helping you. Step 3 get 3-4 people helping with the roof. Suggesting...screw as you go or they can slip off. This product was great. This gazebo perfectly complements my garden entertainment area. I managed to assemble it myself in just two days, thanks to the easy-to-follow instructions. Although some pages took a bit longer to decipher, the overall process was straightforward. The finish is incredibly durable, and nothing seemed to get scratched during shipping or while assembling it. The bronze brown color adds a beautiful touch to my garden. There are hooks on the top center for hanging a fan or lighting. I feel it’s very sturdy and will withstand the wind where I live. My only complaint is that it appears shorter than expected.
