3x Shallower then we expected (photo makes it appear a lot deeper) but seemed to work for our needs . We didn’t experience the unpleasant odor but i left the cushion in the sun to expand and to air out for 24 hrs. . I washed the cover also. TIP From tempuroedic re memory foam Mem foam is made from petroleum . To release the petrol smell you need to walk on the product or twist it to pop the interior air pockets that are filled with the unpleasant odor . You can also leave in the sun but it really needs to be squished several times to break those bubbles .
