I really like these fixtures, but wanted to add one word of caution. Because the decorative links are STEMS rather than chains, "adjusting the length" means using 1 or 2 stems. You are not given that much flexibility in the length. This was hard for us, because we found out that 1 stem made it too high and 2 stems made it too low. (We had a very creative electrician who came up with a solution using brass colored links from another fixture we had ordered. Otherwise, we would have had to return this fixture).. Yuko. I fell in love with this light as we designed and renovated the first floor of a clients house. Our client was surprising particular about his dining room light. Most design recommendations he readily accepted so I was surpised when he vetoed several dining room light suggestions. After presenting our client with several more options, he selected this fixture in black. He liked the lines of the fixture with his curved, gently swooping top. He liked that it didn't have any wood detailing. And He loved the interior contrasting color. Having a pendant that could be set to a height for the current table and adjusted down the road for a new dining room table, was important. (electrician left extra cord length in the box in ceiling).
