While I love the look of this shelf, the bracket is very lacking and will not hold it level. Most hidden brackets have "arms" that extend out the length of the shelf but this one does not. Therefore, there is very little support and the whole shelf droops in the front. The sofa looks great. The cushions are quite firm but we can always put a foam pad on it. The cords that make the tufts may be uncomfortable without a pad on top. Wow! This 72” mantel was even better than expected. The stain was even, and the finish was more on the matte side which was exactly what I wanted for our remodeled family room! I noticed some people commenting on the pearl insert on the side. I didn’t think it was noticeable. It’s small and towards the back on the right side.
