You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket. Corbels will increase the total height of the beam to 13". The corbels have been pre-drilled and include screws. You will need to attach the corbels to the beam upon receipt. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. Beautiful. I ordered in blonde. The only issue is it gets hot, even mounted 12" above my gas fireplace with the flame on low, and the items sitting on top of the mantel get warm as well. The chiseled front edge springs to life through the artistry of a meticulously hand-painted finish. Made in the USA, this shelf has a 9-inch depth allowing for ample room on top for personal effects. Due to the natural imperfections captured from the Limestone, the top of the mantel shelf will have natural offsets and depressions and the dimensions will vary slightly, i.e. shelf height and depth will be marginally different across the entire mantel. 5”H x 9”D 100lbs. Wow! This 72” mantel was even better than expected. The stain was even, and the finish was more on the matte side which was exactly what I wanted for our remodeled family room! I noticed some people commenting on the pearl insert on the side. I didn’t think it was noticeable. It’s small and towards the back on the right side.
