This bed is OK - good but not great. The cover is made from a nice soft comfortable fabric and seems well-made, with good even stitching. It has a zipper so it can go in the washer too. There's no non-skid backing, and it's so lightweight you can expect it to slide around, but that means you can flip it over and have a new "top" if normal wear & tear starts to show. The padding is the same poly-fill that you find in medium priced human bed pillows. This filling will inevitably flatten and "bunch" over time, and I don't recommend it for older dogs or those with arthritis. Or, heavy dogs who will flatten it quickly. It's made with baffles running within the interior of the padding to combat "bunching", but, because they're not offset, they create breaks in the pad. There is access to the padding via a zipper, allowing you to go in and "fluff" occasionally, so you do have some control. My 105 lb lab loves to sleep on it, and look out the window while sitting in it. I was worried it was going to be too small for him, but he loves it. Needed something for car rides that my dog would be comfortable sitting it. Has a lot of features like multiple straps to secure to a seat, strap like leash, and removable inserts that will make it easy to clean. I like that I can add my own foam to make her sit higher too, since the middle cushion is removable. Nice and puffy. This is a very nice and sturdy dog bed. The color is very vibrant and the stitching is well done. As you can see on the pic the bottom legs are made of hard plastic and you just have to screw them in. It is overall very well built. My cat loves it! I had actually gotten it for my dog. As soon as I put it out he tried to lay down, did a few turns and got off. He didn’t like it. The little cushion is actually very, very firm. That is the only reason I deducted one star. Very helpful for carrying our 58 lbs. Labrador when she had a ruptured cervical disc at age 11 and couldn’t walk. My husband and I could carry her (ages 69 and 75) out to the yard, to the car, into the vet. She doesn’t need it since her surgery but it’s very comforting to have it on hand, just in case.
