This bed is OK - good but not great. The cover is made from a nice soft comfortable fabric and seems well-made, with good even stitching. It has a zipper so it can go in the washer too. There's no non-skid backing, and it's so lightweight you can expect it to slide around, but that means you can flip it over and have a new "top" if normal wear & tear starts to show. The padding is the same poly-fill that you find in medium priced human bed pillows. This filling will inevitably flatten and "bunch" over time, and I don't recommend it for older dogs or those with arthritis. Or, heavy dogs who will flatten it quickly. It's made with baffles running within the interior of the padding to combat "bunching", but, because they're not offset, they create breaks in the pad. There is access to the padding via a zipper, allowing you to go in and "fluff" occasionally, so you do have some control. I received this square dog bed through the Wayfair tried and true program. The size of this bed is perfect for the area that I need it for. I have two dogs, and my one dog keeps stealing the bed from the other dog. As you can see the bed is now a hit with Andy and he fits in it comfortably. He’s a 55 pound mix so size wise this bed is great. However, it is very thin, especially especially the inner square it’s really just kind of a fleece blanket in that middle part and underneath the non-skid function is kind of like what you would find on the bottom of a pair of non-skid socks.Overall, though my dog is pretty happy and if he’s happy, so am I. Shipped quickly and arrived well packaged. The instructions are easy enough, and it was easy to put together until I got to the backrest. Even with two people, it was a pain. This is the only reason I rated it a 4. It appears there is a piece of foam covering that is under the material across the back, and then it was torn so you can put in the screws. Unfortunately, you have to put them in blindly as you cannot see the holes to line up the screws. A couple of times, had to remove some material from the holes to get the screws in. The zipper on one side broke while unzipping it to get to the backrest screw holes and cannot be reattached (like you could with a jacket zipper). It doesn't affect the function, but for the price, it's just something that should have happened. After all was said and done, it's super cute, the material is really nice, true to color and the couch is sturdy. It could also serve as a toddler couch. My dogs took to it right away.. Elizabeth.
