This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. Before I ordered this item, I asked customer service if it would fit my pull out trash can. Their answer was "yes it will fit". Well, it was the wrong mounting kit. I had to call to return it and was charged $5 for the shipping. Then when I reordered the right kit I was charged shipping charges for the correct kit. This is not right!!!!!!!. Jerry.
