Its diamond shape works beautifully for big and bold New World wines as the extreme angles offer more space to develop aromas. It helps to balance the fresh characteristics and high mineral components, emphasizing the wonderful fruit aromas. The Extreme glasses are named after their extreme contours. The bowls mimic polished diamonds and their wide angles allow plenty of room for the wine to breathe. They are specifically designed to enhance and emphasize the pleasant softness and generally fruity notes of the new world wines.

High quality wine glasses made by Riedel which is one of the brands known for their high-end, luxury, handmade glasses and decanters. These glasses are part of their Extreme Collection. They are machine-made, dishwasher-safe, and durable. I don't have worry about them being too precious for daily use and yet they are elegant and feel good in the hand. I can find "cheaper" glasses, but these are big bang for your buck if you want to get a quality glass and not break the bank.
