Yes, it’s plastic, but it’s textured/3D which gives a nice effect. The color is a sort of burnished brass. The tape the comes stuck to the back is absolutely awful, so buy your own replacement tape in advance. This is a vertical backsplash and the tiles were coming down after about 2 min. I used these to cover a crack in my mirrored dresser and just to protect the surface from further damage. Turned out very pretty. I just calculated the area of the top surface of the dresser and purchased the appropriate amount of tiles. Very easy to peel and stick. Looks like custom furniture. These were easy to break apart, but if you do it with a knife, then when you score it and break it, they don’t always break in a completely straight line, which meant at the seams I did have to do a little bit of caulking with gray caulk to make it look a little bit better. I did accidentally put these at a slight angle, so I’m not sure how long they’ll stay up, but the quality looks pretty decent for the price and has held up behind our coffee maker!. Deanna.
