This is such a beautiful purple apple! It is large and shiny and reminds me of Snow White except it’s purple! You can see that it fits in the palm of your hand. I love this one and the pear which is a shade of purple. I will use them for decorations. It’s made of a type of ceramic with a paint glaze over it and a brown plastic stem coming out of the top. I am thinking of placing it on my book shelf in the family room or my vase shelf in my bedroom. It would look nice on either one. This Piece is beautiful and Huge, it has amazing colors to it, and looks just like the picture only a lot bigger, I got the larger of the two sizes, and this is the second clock by this company I have purchased, the only issues I can see with ordering clocks through the mail, is the hands on the clock, I was very concerned to see that the hands were a bit lose on the front, they were taped on the face of the clock, which at first I was concerned that the tape would effect the art work, but it did not. After I pulled the tape off slowly and very carefully, I saw the hands were effected, I carefully tried to fix them ever so gently so they would not touch, or be to lose that they would just fall. I put the battery in and you can hear the very slight clicking of the larger hand. One of the smaller hands is scratched but once I am sure where it is going on the wall and it is hung up carefully I will take a marker and fill in the silver color where the smaller hand was scratched and you can see it. The clock you can always tell is running fine from the faint sound, nothing that will ever bother you or keep you awake, your place has to be totally silent to hear it at all, but If there was only a way to ship clocks with some type of device to keep the hands on the face of the clock untouched that would be amazing, ofcourse wall clocks with a glass face do not experience this issue, but not many are made like that anymore. But the color and design is unique, and this company has such a large selection, and they also do curtains and shower curtains as well, I have included pictures but dont mind that the clock is not hung up on the walls yet..
