A piece (uneven wooden bar) at base of bookshelf was broken, no instructions were given (their function was unclear, if they were supposed to be legs they would have scratched my floors, it was unfinished plywood). These were expensive and should at least include a sheet with something written in them. I Ended up taking these pieces off with a hammer. The shelves inside of the bookcases were loose inside and moving around during shipment. This scratched some areas of the wood. Hidden areas ( back of shelves and underside of unit) are unfinished. There was fine sawdust, so the whole unit has to be wiped. Other than that it's a sturdy well made unit. I wouldn't say it's solid wood, however it's a good quality plywood. This is a traditional 42-inch diameter mahogany occasional table. It is made-to-order in the Leighton Hall shop in Suwanee, Georgia. It is ideal as a foyer table, occasional table for the living area, or small breakfast table. The top features a cathedral mahogany field with a contrasting straight-grain mahogany border. It has a hand-rubbed and polished semi-gloss finish. The pedestal has three fluted legs which terminate with antique brass lion’s paw feet.

For this dining table, the details are focused. From the first sketches to the final result, each step is done by hand with playful experimentation.

A very fine mahogany and time veneered side table, the morado and primavera crossbanded top with fine stringing and a paper twist marquetry design in sycamore and mother of pearl inlaid to the center with a flowerhead roundel with mother of pearl details, bound in brass above a paneled frieze with floral brass accents and brass inlay, on fluted columns with acanthus capitals and bases, joined by a primavera crossbanded concave sided under tier.
