Had a hard time finding a fan the size I wanted but this was it! I wanted a larger size and most were not long enough for my 36" stove width I wanted a good 4" on each end. It looks great. Bit loud on low speed but think it's bcs it's so long. I don't mind. And it does a fantastic job of sucking up garlic or onion smells! Love the sleek look, baffles easy to remove and wash. There are many pros about this range hood. First, it’s heavy duty - far heavier and sturdier than my previous one. Second, it’s all metal, even the filters, and includes a grease trap, which is a big bonus feature. The fan levels are great and it’s much quieter than our previous hood but definitely powerful. So far we are loving this upgrade. We did not use the vent hose it came with but bought an all metal one at our local home store for better greasefire protection. I will say the directions are somewhat lacking, however, if the person installing it knows what they’re doing, it shouldn’t be a problem. This was delivered super fast. It was packaged well. It was what we were looking for, and now that I’ve got it installed and used it a few times, I can say it works so well, and I love it. I knocked a star off because there are some frustrating (welding) stains on the stainless steel, and I got cut on a piece of sharp metal that was sticking out of it. Other than that, it’s a dream, and for the price, I don’t think we could have gotten even close with another option. Not so loud you can’t talk when it’s on high. Moves a hell of a lot of air and the lights are something like 4000k bright white and make up for the shadow this big boy creates. You can also point the lights which is a nice touch. Just know this unit DORS NOT have a remote blower like z-line’s website says but is vague about. I was real disappointed but in too much of a hurry to return it. That said it’s not terrible in noise level.
