The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. I couldn’t have found a better shelf for the space I needed. We live in an old house that we are remodeling so needless to say our spaces are wonky. My only complaint is that the backing was not aligned and I had to remove the tape that held it together to re-aligned it. For the price, these are great little bookshelves. The white shelving is particleboard with melamine and the outer end brackets and rear crossbars are metal with a polished chrome finish. There are round rubber legs on the base and the top caps. This was very easy to assemble with simple screws and an Allen wrench. I ordered 2 shelves for my office and each one took about 15 mins. to assemble. I am an Architect + Interior Designer and I needed simple shelves to house material samples and keep them organized in my office. Each shelf is rated to hold approx. 30 lbs, which is the perfect capacity for my material samples and or any books also.
