I purchased this to extend our usable space on our patio. It took 2 people about 5 hours in the Texas heat to put this together. We did have some experience with this type of assembly so that helped streamline things. It definitely needs to be anchored, but once it is the awning is quite stable. This is my fourth purchase of the same item. I use it to surround my covered patio when I don’t want the sun coming in. The light color let the light come in. This fourth one was much easier to install than the first three. The only reason I had to buy a fourth was because a tree limb came down on one of the older ones. They hold up very well to winds. I ordered two of these and placed them sideways so that I could have a 16 wide and 24 feet long covered area. It definitely took four people about four hours to put up the first one but second one went a lot smoother after figuring out all the louvers. I’ve had it up for about a month so far with some pretty strong winds and so far so good. We did have a decent rain and it kept everything dry when I closed the louvers but then we had a torrential rain and it was just way too much for the small areas to hold so it definitely leaked in a few spots. Overall, I’m very happy with the product. I got some lights and used some stick on hooks and it created an amazing outside area. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments.. Lori Spaulding. FL.
