I just got my kitchen redone. Let me say that I am not a fan of stainless steel or single bowl sinks. I do not use a dishwasher. My kitchen is small and I didn’t use a dishwasher when I had one. I had first ordered a composite granite sink from a local company that was shipped here. After two sinks came chipped, I had had enough. So I ordered this sink. It’s heavy, it’s old school and deep and I like it so far. So, we’ll see how it works. It came with silicone washers, but it leaked, so the guy that did my kitchen had to use plumbers putty instead, because the sink was leaking. It also comes with sink grids and basket strainers.. An attractive sink at a good price. This is a fireclay sink, which means it is fired at a lower temperature than a porcelain sink, but at a higher temperature than a ceramic sink. Higher temps increase hardness and durability. This becomes apparent as this sink will stain if left soiled overnight, unlike a porcelain sink which you can rinse and wipe clean. It is not a big deal as it does come clean with some bleach cleaner and a sponge. I am happy overall. Note: I bought a sturdy stainless steel sink grid, not included, to protect the bottom from nicks and scratches (~$50), which I recommend. Can be used as a trivet or a cooling rack as well.. The shallow center divider makes it easy to use both sides or rest pots on center while washing. BUT!!!! So frustrated that you can order this sink $300 cheaper directly on the companies web site. This sink turned out beautifully! I have a 30" base cabinet and wanted an undermount white (non-farmhouse) sink.
