This took two people almost 8 hours to put together. The directions are fairly clear however it is recommended to read the directions entirely or at least 3 steps ahead before each step. The hardware is not magnetic, with an application like this that is something that is almost necessary. The DD (most commonly used) screw heads were mostly faulty and stripped very easily. Time was added to assembly because of faulty hardware issues. There are three phases, after the first phase it does become a little quicker. The first phase is the frame and takes some engineering. DO NOT TIGHTEN THE BOLTS until the end of each step. I chose this item for a carport as shown in the photos. It is recommended to use three people although it will not reduce the amount of time that it took to put it together but will make it easier when putting the 2 ends together will the top rails. The end product is very nice, maybe allow 2 days to complete with less frustration and make sure you have some shade. also, wait to unwrap the panels until installing them - they scratch very easily and can bend out of shape if not handled correctly. I took a while to write this because it took us six months to find a contractor to put it together! Everyone is busy during peak contractor season. The finished product is amazing. It's a great deal and an amazing shed with lots of storage. Very stylish. I think our contractor had to buy paint, roof shingles and a couple of extra pieces of plywood. I will give you the breakdown, it took a licensed builder a full week to put it together but it's done right. Just to let you know if you are a DIY it will probably take three times that. WORTH IT. I was impressed with the quality of the materials and the instructions were pretty clear. I put mine on top of of a concrete pad. Also did a row of cinder blocks, which required a little customizing where the door fit in the wall. This cedar shed is perfect as an additional bunk house/office for our vacation/remote work location. My contractor, who assembled it had a few issues as the directions are pretty basic. So pay attention to part numbers as the illustrated plans indicate what goes where. It arrives on two pallets with wall panels that already have the siding attached and roof panels already shingled. He bought pressure treated 2x4s and better plywood for the base/floor since the cabin didn't come with all the pieces of flooring needed (super annoying) and making 6 or 8 joist boxes is kinda silly but due to fitting everything on pallets, that's necessary from a manufacturing standpoint. So we improvised. In these photos, we had painted the floor already, preparing for laying the final flooring. We will be insulating and adding a nice whitewashed paneling for the interior walls. We may run an extension cord out there or actually run power properly. Not sure yet. My contractor billed me 30 hours for assembly and he worked alone. Great shed! This is beautiful. Just be forewarned, it's a royal pain to build it by yourself (minus the times you need at least 2-3 others to lift parts while building it). This is a great pergola for the price! It was a lot to put together. One of the pieces got dented in the set up process but it’s minor. The louvred top is easy to adjust.
