We used these on our back patio and added faux shrubbery to add some greenery. These are metal and VERY sturdy. You could even put bricks or rocks in the base if you live in a windy spot. Arrived quickly and my husband put it together. I was expecting it to be taller from the picture, and the length was accurate. I haven't filled it yet, for the place I have planned, I am wondering if I should have him add legs. I also expected the wood of the box to be a bit thicker.
