This is a nice compact dehumidifier. It's sturdy and heavy but doesn't take up too much space. The wheels and handle are great for mobility. One of the best things about it is how quiet it is in operation. For a commercial dehumidifier, the sound is very low. I don't have the ability to fully comment on it's effectiveness yet but can say that the reading changed rather quickly with a short test try. This is such an upgrade from our 10,000 BTU portable air conditioner. We purchased this Danby because our old a/c unit started blowing hot air. After checking to see if it needed draining, filter cleaning, checking the hose for blockages, etc., we realized it was likely not worth trying to get it repaired. We've bought Danby products before but never a/c units. So far, it's doing a great job. We have it set up in our living room, which counts as two rooms if we were to carpet it and so far, it's keeping the space nice and cool. We live in an apartment, so this works really well. The true test will be how it lasts during some of the summer's longer heat waves, but as we're experiencing mini heat waves right now (that last maybe 2-3 days), I'm happy to say that it's doing a decent job. Oh, and it's super quiet. Our other a/c unit that we have in the bedroom runs a lot louder than this one and is maybe only a year old. This thing is extremely deceptive... what I mean is. It's size does not match its weight. The thing is seriously light. Which lends itself to quality issues. The BT option works but will cycle on a loop of connecting if you leave the BT connection screen open. At least that was my experience. Now, the sound is low end PA (high treble) quality sound. The bass is minimal but there. The pre selected equalizer settings are basically useless. The thing is loud, and it is clear all the way into the upper end of the volume. Now I don't know if it is 3k watts of power as advertised. On the box RMS is 10watts. But this world seems confidant with fuzzy math's. I afterall 3000 is way bigger than 10. For the money.
