I’m not sure why other reviews said that these were flimsy. Maybe they weren’t installed correctly. My husband did a great job installing these. We have blackouts and sheers on them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is overall a pretty convenient option if you're looking for something quick and low effort. Super easy to install as you really don't need much- just a hammer and a tape measure. The fact that there's no drilling required is a huge plus. The rod also comes basically ready to go so no complicated assembly there. The whole setup process was fast and beginner friendly. That said it's not completely foolproof. It really depends on your window trim. If you don't have trim at all this rod just won't work. Keep in mind that even if you do have trim in an older home you may run into some issues if that trim isn't perfectly flush with the wall. You may need to tweak the support brackets a bit Overall it's a great product!
