These are really pretty and whimsical at nighttime. They should definitely be put in an area that gets plenty of sun to work optimally. The packaging is terrible, however. Both times I ordered them, there wasn’t any outer packaging, just the manufacturer’s box, which wasn’t even taped shut on the ends. The second set I received was missing parts, which had clearly fallen out of the package during shipping. Since we live in a mountain climate with frequent rain and snow, it unfortunately wasn’t suitable for our outdoor space. If it is deliberately turned down, hot water is added (CoolStart).
