This is the perfect 9x12 rug for our family room! I bought a different cheaper rug initially, and there is a sizeable difference in the quality. I had purchased my cream and orange area rug from another website and decided I liked it so much that I wanted the same pattern but different color for my dining room. I was about to purchase then thought I'd see if I could find it cheaper elsewhere and I did! Wayfair had the exact same rug for $30 less than the other website. Extremely happy with my purchase. Only complaint I have (but this is for any rug that is shipped) is that they are rolled so tight that it takes FOREVER to get the end to lie flat! The rug has tones of gold, gray, brown, and cream. There are swirls of metallic threads throughout the rug. I was worried at first that in person it might be too gaudy. However, the metallic is very subtle and pretty. I notice it most when the light hits it just right or when the threads are moved a certain way after being walked on. The threads are pretty short, but the rug is comfortable to walk on. I have not noticed any shedding, so I think this rug would do well in a high traffic area. The rug also has enough color variation to hide small amounts of wear/dirt that are inevitable with use. The materials used all seem to be of high quality.
