Fairly easy to build. I did it all on my own, took about 12hrs however I took several breaks and I was building 2 of these desks. This is a good looking table but 4 stars because the top of the table is 2 pieces and the wood design doesn’t match (see pictures). The top 2 drawers do not have the side mount drawer slides instead they glide on metal side rails and they are slightly smaller than the space, you can move them left and right but they don’t come off the metal rail. This Inbox Zero Lorentz sit‑stand desk showed up in two very heavy boxes (around 90 lbs each), so the delivery alone felt like a mini workout. Building it solo with ADHD took a few hours and a couple of “rewind and fix” moments, but the instructions were clear—I just managed to overlook a few things along the way. Once assembled, the quality really shows. The drawers and cabinet close cleanly, the desk raises and lowers quietly and smoothly, and the larger size gives me plenty of room for both work and gaming. The only confusing part was the wire hiders underneath—usually there are markings for screw placement, but this one had none. I also wish the cabinet had cable holes in the back or middle. I was worried because some reviews describe this as a child's desk. I bought the 63" version, and it's very nice as a simple adult-sized desk. The cloth drawers are plenty nice (and especially well suited to a craft room). I had no difficulty assembling this item mostly by myself, and I am an older woman with a physical disability (in my fifties with a movement disorder). I only needed a second person's help for turning the whole unit upright after assembly. The instructions are honestly the best I've ever encountered for DIY furniture, quite clear and easy to follow. The hardware is immaculately laid out in labeled pouches (with a spare of each main screw type included). I'm delighted with this product. It is a narrow desk, yet can easily accommodate a 32" computer monitor and keyboard. If you have cats, be aware that they can quickly tear apart the end-mounted book/magazine holder (as I found out on day one!) and fabric-sided drawers. There was one other desk on Wayfair that I liked better but the reviews were terrible and I didn't want to take the chance. Nice sturdy desk. I wish the wood tone was a little warmer, but still nice for MDF. It does take considerable time to assemble, up to two hours and instructions are not great.
